Greetings and welcome to Stonar's first Irish blog!

Our offices are situated in beautiful county Carlow close to the historic town of Baltinglass, and nestled in the lee of the Wicklow mountains. We are ideally centrally situated, only 45 minutes drive from Dublin, 25 minutes from Carlow and 40 minutes from Kilkenny.

Viv (my lovely wife, friend and confidant) and I relocated our business consultancy from New Zealand to Ireland at the end of 2013. It has taken a while to establish ourselves and understandably, although having extensive international business contacts, networking and gaining trust and credibility within the local environment takes time. Having said that however our welcome and reception in Ireland speaks loudly and proudly of the warmth and hospitality of this nation.

After some reflection, and having flicked through some of our competitors excellent but very formal blog and advisory content, I considered that perhaps a slightly more relaxed delivery of business ideas, concepts, strategies and observations may be more palatable, and consequently probably more actionable. So I intend, in future blogs and advices to follow the old adage "keep it simple stupid". Items, comments and observations may be around current topically relevant matters or simply follow a series of advices on a particular business topic. Any suggestions as to future content and style are welcome – should you feel so inclined!

So this initial post is essentially an introduction and welcome – nothing more.
